– it is extracted from almonds harvested by hand and ground in stone mill by a traditional production procedure. As the almonds themselves, the oil extracted from them is highly nutritive too. Its regular consumption provides a very good source of vitamins A and E and constitutes also efficient part of healthy nutrition due to the high contents of unsaturated fatty acids. Although almond oil was already imported from Greece by Ancient Egyptians who prepared cosmetic ointments of it, its culinary use has been discovered only recently. Almond oil is slightly sweetish and has pleasant aroma. It complements salads, sauces and deserts ideally.
